Impressive Animal Architecture
These reminded me of Janine Benyus's book on Biomimicry: Innovation Inspired by Nature. It's amazing how many issues we as an industry still struggle with - such as energy efficient air conditioning - that these animals solved millenia ago, without even using BIM!

The termite mound that works in one region will not survive in another. Similarly, humans have created wonderfully efficient and climate appropriate building types that work in specific environments. Examples can be found under the moniker of "venacular architecture".
